Maria Monarch (voiced by Tara Strong) is a monarch butterfly and supporting character in The Buzz on Maggie. Maria came to Stickyfeet because her father was tired of migrating between North and South America . In her first appearance, she resembled an unattractive nerd, but Maggie and Rayna gave her a make-over in an attempt to get her voted in as Homecoming Queen. Maria later became the most popular girl in school, likely beating Dawn Swatworthy in votes, but did not end up winning due to Pupert miscounting. Maria appeared again in The Hangout, where she helped Maggie and Rayna keep their hangout spot.
Her last appearance was in Synchronized Flying, where she was supposed to compete in a Synchronized Flying competition with Rayna.

Physical[]
Maria is a light blue monarch butterfly with a pointed chin, maroon hair, and large orange and black wings. Her lower wings are long and tapered. She is slightly taller than Maggie and Rayna. When she first appeared, he had a more dishelved, awkward appearance with paler wings and acne on her face.
Clothing[]
In her initial appearance in "The Candidate", Maria has two drooping ponytails and bangs, thick black eyeglasses, a thick green sweater, a red skirt with yellow stripes, and white socks with maroon shoes. After Maggie and Rayna prepare her to be the homecoming queen, her eyeglasses are taken away, her hair is let down and falls behind her back, and she wears a long light blue dress with matching eyeshadow and shoes, and pink lipstick.
In subsequent appearances from "The Hangout" to "Synchronized Flying", Maria wears a light blue t-shirt, a green ruffled skirt with a white hem, an orange hair clip, and white socks. She keeps her hair style, eyeshadow, shoes, and lipstick from the homecoming dance.
